Since the day it was established in 1997, the Marie-Clarac Hospital Foundation has consistently supported the hospital and helped it deliver quality health care in a kind and serene environment. Your donations, however big or small they may be, and your support are essential to our beautiful hospital, to both our rehabilitation services and to our new Mother Anselme Marie Pavilion.
If you are wondering where your gifts go, here is the information:
Who gives?
A large percentage of our donations come from companies, both local and national. Some companies have been giving for years. In addition, various activities and unexpected gifts coupled with the generosity of former patients, staff and volunteers, and the public at large bring in more funds year after year. Clearly, without all of you, companies and individuals, we just couldn’t do what we do!
Why give ?
Last year the Foundation raised nearly 2 million dollars through its Capital Campaign for the Marie-Clarac Hospital. All of this money was used to build the Mother Anselme Marie Pavilion and the Oasis of Peace palliative care unit that opened its doors last November.
Money raised this year will once again be allocated to the hospital’s specific needs, requests and projects, whether in palliative care or in rehabilitation. Our goal remains the same: help the hospital provide high quality care, as it has for over 50 years.

It terms of expenses, our Foundation has always, since its very first day of operations, maintained very low administrative costs. For the 2013-2014 fiscal year for example, less than 5% of revenues were allocated to operating expenses.
