On May 1st, some 150 members of the business community attended the second edition of the Au pied du lit fundraising cocktail, an exclusive evening hosted by GardaWorld at the Port of Montreal Tower. Featuring 2020 Juno Award winner Dawn Tyler Watson and her musicians, the evening was a resounding success, raising $825,000 net.
The first Au pied du lit fundraising cocktail raised $750,000. The funds raised during both events will enable the complete replacement of all obsolete beds to maintain the excellence of rehabilitation and palliative care services.
“This result exceeds our expectations.” “This is a wonderful testament to solidarity and trust in our institution,” commented Sister Martine Côté, Executive Director of Marie-Clarac Hospital.
The success of this event was made possible thanks to the invaluable support of generous donors and partners. The Marie-Clarac Hospital Foundation is deeply grateful to the organizing committee for its tireless work under the honorary presidency of Mr. Jean-Luc Meunier, President and Chief Operating Officer of GardaWorld, in collaboration with Mr. Luc Dupont, Vice President Eastern Canada of GardaWorld, Mr. Nicola Di Iorio, lawyer and partner at DS Lawyers, Mr. Michael Fratianni, President and CEO of Montreal Gateway Terminals, Mr. Richard Laramée, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Partner for the Montreal office of DS Lawyers, Ms. Francyne Noël Trudeau, Vice President of Gestion Cholab Inc. and Mr. Raymond Paquin, founder of the Marie-Clarac Hospital Foundation.
The new beds acquired through this fundraising will directly improve the quality of care. Patients will benefit from a comfortable and supportive environment.
