Under the honorary chairmanship of Mr. André Collin, President of Colvest, this Christmas concert kicked off the holiday season while contributing to the recovery of patients seeking to regain their independence through personalized rehabilitation services, as well as providing peaceful support for those at the end of their life.

The Marie-Clarac Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce an exceptional philanthropic gesture: a major donation of $5 million distributed over 10 years from the Lise and Giuseppe Racanelli Foundation, intended to ensure the sustainability and excellence of the care provided at our establishment.
This remarkable donation is much more than financial support. It embodies a structuring vision, a deep commitment to human dignity, and confidence in Marie-Clarac’s mission: to accompany people at the end of their lives with compassion, to support those who wish to regain their autonomy, and to offer care imbued with humanism and passion.
“This gift from the Lise and Giuseppe Racanelli Foundation is a powerful testament to what generosity can accomplish when guided by an open heart and a desire to build a better future,” said Michael Fratianni, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
“What has moved us, is the quiet strength of the nuns who have supported this house for so many years. They give without hesitation their time, energy and compassion. $825,000 to complete the purchase of new beds

On May 1st, some 150 members of the business community attended the second edition of the Au pied du lit fundraising cocktail, an exclusive evening hosted by GardaWorld at the Port of Montreal Tower. Featuring 2020 Juno Award winner Dawn Tyler Watson and her musicians, the evening was a resounding success, raising $825,000 net.

The first Au pied du lit fundraising cocktail raised $750,000. The funds raised during both events will enable the complete replacement of all obsolete beds to maintain the excellence of rehabilitation and palliative care services.

“This result exceeds our expectations.” “This is a wonderful testament to solidarity and trust in our institution,” commented Sister Martine Côté, Executive Director of Marie-Clarac Hospital.

The success of this event was made possible thanks to the invaluable support of generous donors and partners. Our achievements 2024 – 2025

Following its 2024-2025 fundraising campaign, the Foundation donated $523,792 to
Marie-Clarac Hospital.

Most of the funds were used to purchase new beds, replacing outdated ones. The
Foundation proudly contributed to these purchases. It is important to remember that
these beds are not just pieces of furniture; they embody the respect, compassion, and
care we strive to offer to patients. For many users, these beds represent their living
space.

The generous donations also made it possible to provide various equipment to ensure
the best possible care for patients.
True to its commitment since 2022, with the support of its kindhearted donors, the
Foundation has offered free television to all patients. This entertainment helps maintain
cognitive function, in particular.

Thanks to donations, the Foundation also funds alternative therapy treatments to bring a
little comfort to those at the end of their lives. Thank you to all our donors for making
these projects possible !

2nd edition of the Au pied du lit benefit cocktail

Last year, the Marie-Clarac Hospital Foundation launched its Au pied du Lit campaign, which aims to replace all of the hospital’s 200 or so obsolete beds. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are proud to announce that more than 100 beds have been purchased to date.

However, our mission is far from over. In fact, to be able to replace all of the beds, the fundraising campaign continues. It is important to remember that these beds are not just pieces of furniture; they embody the respect, compassion and care that we want to offer patients. For many, these beds occupy a central place in their daily lives.

For all these reasons, the Foundation, under the honorary presidency of GardaWorld, is organizing the 2nd edition of the Au pied du lit benefit cocktail, an evening dedicated to solidarity and support for our cause.

150 comforting angels

Thanks to your generosity, 150 little angels were hung on the tree of the Marie-Clarac Hospital, helping to offer massage therapy services to people at the end of their lives.
The Foundation wishes to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to this great fundraising activity. For each $ 20 donation given to the Foundation, as part of this campaign, an angel was added to the tree.
The donations will fund massage therapy services offered to people at the end of their life. This service helps to alleviate their pain and offer them a moment of relaxation.
The magnificent tree displayed in the lobby of the hospital and decorated with 150 little angels brings comfort to people at the end of their life whom we want to surround with kindness.

$750,000 to acquire new beds for the Marie-Clarac Hospital

On May 9th, around 150 people from the business community took part in an exclusive evening hosted by renowned journalist Jocelyne Cazin at the Port of Montreal Tower, in the company of the Internationally acclaimed violinist Alexandre Da Costa and his musicians. Organized as part of a major campaign, this benefit cocktail was a tremendous success, raising a net amount of $750,000.
